The NFL and Gatorade have launched their 2010 Beat the Heat Campaign designed to inform players and parents of the dangers of heat related illness.  Athletes practicing in excessive summer heat are especially at risk for heat related illness.

Once agian  the Metro Athletic Network is parterning with the Atlanta Falcons as part of our annual fundraising efforts. 

 WE HAVE $10 ATLANTA FALCONS FOOTBALL TICKETS for the August 19th game vs the New England Patriots. 

Part of  the proceeds from this fundraising will help us to provide equipment  for our players.

 As a result of this partnership, we were able to raise over  $3,000 in 2009 for player uniforms and equipmen in 2009 and hope for even greater success this year.

The Metro Athletic Network, Inc. has been awarded an equipment grant by USA Football. 

The grant, which consists of 20  Riddell youth football helmets, will be used  to help our 12U Eagles Black team.

We also received the equipment grant in 200 and this grant helped us to equip our 6u Titans Black team and our 14u Eagles Black team.

We extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to USA Football and Riddell for helping us to fulfill our mission.

The Metro Athletic Network thanks the NYSCA and Emmitt Smith for the 2010 equipment grant that was awarded this spring.  This grants was awarded as part of the initiative sponsored by Emmitt Smith and the NYSCA to promote greater dental awareness and protection in youth sports.

 Our 12u Eagles Black team will utilize the equipment during our 2010 team tackle football season.

Tickets for the Atlanta Falcons April 19th game vs the New England Patriots are on sale now for $10.

 Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase  cleats and equipment bags for our 2010 teams.  Please help us out by purchasing your tickets today.

This fundraisier is a great and inexpensive way for the entire family to have fun with the Atlanta Falcons in 2010!!!

The Metro Athletic Network, Inc. was awarded a $500 grant from the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation as part of the Foundation's 2009 team of the week initiative.

The grant was used to provide team warm-ups for the East Metro Titans 95lb Blue team.

We are greatful for the support of the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation and look forward to our continued parternship.

The Metro Athletic Network awarded 30 scholarships for youth to attend the Georgia Tech University 2009 Junior Jacket Camp held on June 5, 2009 .

The camp provided  attendees with the chance to
interact with Georgia Tech coaches as well as other camp attendees from the metro area.

While helping the camp goers to improve their basic football skills, the camp also provided the opportunity to learn about higher education and athletics.

The camp also helped to stress the role of  physical activity in developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Many thanks to Coach Johnson and the Georgia Tech staff for making this a special day for our scholarship winners.

East Metro Titans - 2009 MYFFL 6U  Champion

The 2009 Metro Youth Flag Football League held its league championships May 16, 2009 at Tucker Park.  

 The highlight of the championship games was the 14U battle between the Tucker Lions and PASS Mustangs.  The Tucker Lions fought from behind to win a thrilling 29-28 victory in overtime.

The 12 CD Jaguars (White) won a emtoional battle with CD Black.  For Coach Peacock of CD White it was the 2nd championship in 3 years as he also coached the CD White Jaguars to the 10U championship in 2007.

In the 10U championship game, the East Metro Titans (White) ground out a tough 22-0 victory over the Lithonia Chiefs.  This marked the 3rd consecutive league championship for the East metro Titnas (White) as they also won the 10U championship in 2008 and the 8u Championship in 2007. 

The 10U East Metro Titans (White)  also remained the only team in leauge history to never allow a point in a championship, posting their 3rd consecutive shutout in a championship game.

 Tucker Lions - 2009 MYFFL 6U Runner-ups

In the 8U game, the Redan Raiders, led by Head Coach Ben Smith, defeated the Central DeKalb Jaguars.   In the 6U game, the East Metro Titans defeated the Tucker Lions in a hard fought battle.

The Metro Atheltic Network and the East Metro Titans held  a Pepsi  NFL Punt, PASS, and Kick competition on Saturday July 12, 2008 at the Rockdale County Recreation Field in Conyers, GA. 

The competition was fierce in all age groups and consisted of contestants from several local youth football associations.  All the contestants thoroughly enjoyed the event .  

The winners in each age group  advanced to the State Sectional tournament.

The East Metro Titans hosted the Atlanta Falcons Junior Falcon Gatorade Camp on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at the Rockdale Recreation Field located on Parker Road in Conyers, GA. 

Over 100 local youth participated in the camp which was designed to promote healthy lifestyles by encouraging physical activity through participation in several  non-contact football drills.

In addition to learning about football, the camp participants also learned the importance of listening and following directions.

On behalf of all the participants and their parents, we extend a sincere thanks to the Atlanta Falcons for taking time to visit our community!!!!

20 members of the East Metro Titans football program attended the Junior Jacket Football Camp at Georgia Tech University on Friday June 7, 2008. 

In addition to meeting Heach Coach Johnson, the players participated in a variety of drills and games.  The players thoroughly enjoyed the chance to work with coaches from Georgia Tech and the chance to meet other youth players from  the metro Atlanta area and out of state.

 The camp was a life changing experience for many of the youth players, especially those who had never before visited a college campus.

The Metro Athletic Network is very thankful to Georgia Tech University for partnering with us and allowing some of our players to attend this wonderful camp!!!

The Titans had an opportunity to enjoy a great game as well as meet players and cheerleaders afterwards.
